ABOUT ME:

As a child I was always fascinated and in awe of horses. I was the child who wished for a pony on every shooting star, every birthday candle and for each Christmas.  While I did not have a pony as a child, I was exposed to horses through equestrian camps and patient horse owners who did not mind answering all my questions. As a teenager my family moved to Belgium where I was able to start formal lessons. I was drawn to the discipline of  dressage and while I took lessons I also volunteered at the barn for the duration of my family's time in Europe. 

Upon my return to Ottawa, I volunteered at a local trail riding facility where I continued my education. I eventually bought my own horse, a halflinger cross who was in need of rescuing; and I started a small horse training business. I went on to take a farrier's course at Kemptville College, took the OEF riding level exams and I continue to work towards my coaching levels.  I still take on horse projects for training and I particularly enjoy taking in horses that require rehabilitation or a second chance.  This desire to help horses led me to equine sports massage therapy.  After successfully completing the ESMT course I was certified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist by Jodi Pendry.
